This is me at my first day of puppy school

Hello – my name is Roger. I am 6 weeks old and have been adopted by a new family. They took me a away from my Mum and now I’m all on my own with this group of 5 humans or at least that is what I believe they are called. They certainly don’t look like my old family.

Let me tell you a  bit about myself. I am a Golden Labrador. Actually my Mum was a half Golden Retriever and my Dad a pure bread Labrador. So I guess I’m I’m really 3 quarters Labrador and 1 quarter Golden Retriever.  I must look pretty good as the humans say that I’m a good looking dog. I believe them of course. What do you think?

Anyway I was extracted from my Mum and are now with the new family. Lots of people and they are pretty kind to me.

The first night was a a bit scary. I did cry a bit first night away away from my Mum. Well what would you do.

The humans were pretty kind to me though especially the lady human. She held me all the time and and stayed up with me during the night. I think she is going to be OK. Well I hope she is as she is the one that feeds me and that pretty important to me especially as I am a Labrador.

Let me tell you about my name. I of course had no say in it. The humans were discussing what to call me. I didn’t mind of course as long as they didn’t call me late for a meal. Anyway they discussed many names and the big human said I should be called Pat  to “pat the dog”. I’m glad they dis not choose that name its a bit demeaning.
